2019 In Review

Lauren Middleton

The is more of a personal entry, with a little informative twist. I am enjoying the wedding planning process and just wanted to share my experience! 2019 was a challenge. It included a lot of great memories but also some heartbreaking events. I guess most years have ups and downs but it seemed that there was a great deal of loss for our family in 2019.

So far, 2020 is looking to be amazing! April 24th is quickly approaching, 115 days to be exact, according to The Knot (Click under one of my favorite photos of us to go to our site!) I am going to include our wedding website in this entry because it is so cute, it just has to be done! I was nervous about the whole process at first, but I have completely embraced it at this point. I am making a point of enjoying it because it a a special process that people often race through. In the end it is about the person that you gain as your partner in life, and sharing the moments with your family and friends.

2020 also brings wonderful opportunities with some special horses. I have been waiting to show one since the day she was born, and granted it did not go as well as I would have hoped at the Futurity, but she is wonderful nonetheless. It is the hard lessons like not doing well at those meaningful events that make us grow, and I am going to work ten times harder to make sure I am the best I can be for her.

My Girl Iggy!

You never stop learning, you never stop growing, and that is what is exciting about 2020. I know that I have grown so much in this past year, maybe more that in previous years. I know that there have been harder years, much harder years, but it is the time after the dust settles that we can look back and grow from the good, the bad, and the ugly. There might be things that we regret or things we wish had gone a little better, but they happened the way they did for a reason. I am proud of where I am now and I know that I will be even more proud at the end of this year because the things I have learned are only going to set me up for a wonderful future! Here’s to 2020 a year that will be full of continued growth and immeasurable blessings! I, for one, am going to take the time to take it all in. We have so much to look forward to!
