Gathering Thoughts

It has been a little while since my last post due to a number of things… life gets busy and we lose track of some things just trying to maintain the things that have to be done.  The story of pretty much everyone’s life that is trying to balance growing a business along with all of the things that allow you to grow a business. 

I decided to start this blog as a way to express my thoughts and to analyze what I was working towards.  It keeps me centered and focused while hopefully bringing people to this website.  It is a win in so many ways and honestly, I really enjoy it as well!  I have not always enjoyed writing but I have in recent years because of my job as a journalist for Cutting Horse Central.  It was something I was kind of thrown into and found my way.  It seems like some of the best things I have stumbled upon have been just the same.  Figure it out… sink or swim… however you would like to put it!  I am proud that most of the time I am able to “figure it out” but I can’t say that I am perfect at it.  There have been many mistakes along the way but ultimately, I really am proud.

A few things that have taken over lately have been a big horse show in Fort Worth, which I did not do well in this time around but like in most sports you have to be happy with the little victories as well as the big ones.  I haven’t been the best at that in the past but I am starting to understand the bigger picture making the small things mean a lot while doing what I love!

Another big event was my sister graduating from law school!  I am beyond excited and proud for her.  She has always been amazing and nothing is better as a big sister than to see her pursuing her dreams.  She not only pursuing them but also succeeding in a big way!  We went home for a long weekend to celebrate her achievement and I think it will go down as one of the best trips I can remember.

Lastly, I wanted to give an update on the progress of the studio!  We have demoed the building because it was going to be better to do that than to redo the existing building.  I am hoping to get started within the month, I have a million ideas and it is mostly about narrowing them down at this point.

The past month has had a few downs but mostly ups!  I am anxious to get started on many ideas I have to make the next few weeks mostly ups as well.  I realize this blog has been a little bit of a recap and not quite as profound as others but sometimes we just need a little reflection in order to organize thoughts.  It has also been brought to my attention that maybe I need to think of ways on top of this blog to bring more people to this website.  If anyone has suggestions please feel free to comment below.  I want to keep everything growing and I love hearing new ideas.  It also gives my friends a chance to be a part of something that is near and dear to my heart!
